Moonrise Wellness and Performance exists to close the gap between training and recovery. We help active individuals move beyond managing symptoms and toward building lasting capability in their bodies. By integrating strength training, conditioning and bodywork into a single, intentional approach, we support the body’s natural ability to adapt, recover, and perform consistently. This work isn’t about fixing what is broken. It’s about creating resilience and confidence in how you move, train, and live, so progress finally sticks in real life.

Meet Melanie

Moonrise was born from a moment of personal reckoning. For years, endurance defined my identity. I ran for more than 15 years, logging miles, building grit, and believing that strength training was a risk. Weights felt like something that could slow me down, or worse, injure me. Like many endurance athletes, I avoided lifting heavy and stayed in what felt familiar and safe. That changed when I became a trainer. To coach others responsibly, I had to truly understand strength. That meant learning the movements, building competency under load, and developing confidence with weights. What began as a professional requirement became an unexpected awakening. As I applied progressive overload and trained with intention, something surprising happened. I didn’t lose speed. I gained it. Strength made me more resilient, more powerful, and more capable. What I once feared became the missing piece in my own performance. That experience reshaped how I view training, health, and longevity.
